Farming

Farming is the heart of Sproutville. You grow crops on your Farm, then sell them for gold — and the more you farm, the better the crops you can plant.

Your Farm has 6 garden plots. Each plot runs through the same simple loop:

  1. Plant — click a plot to plant your selected seed.
  2. Water — water the plot so the crop can grow.
  3. Wait — the crop needs time to mature (this varies by crop).
  4. Harvest — click the ready crop to collect it for gold and Farming XP.

With six plots, you can keep several crops going at once. While each action plays, you’re rooted in place with a tool gesture and a “Working…” badge.

Action Time
Plant 0.7s
Water 0.8s
Harvest 0.7s

Note that these are just the action gestures — the grow time between watering and harvesting is separate and depends on the crop.

Higher Farming levels unlock better crops with bigger payouts. You start with simple crops like Turnip and Carrot at Level 1, and work your way up to high-value crops like Grapes and Pineapple at the top.

Grow times also get longer for the fancier crops, so the best crops are a bigger investment of patience as well as gold.

For every crop’s unlock level, seed cost, sell price, yield, grow time, and XP, see the Crops reference.

Starter seeds (Turnip through Corn) are sold at Clover’s general store in Town, and premium seeds come from vendors. To learn where to buy each seed and where to sell your harvest for the best price, see Shop & gold.
