Skills & Leveling
Sproutville has five skills, and each one levels up on its own. There’s no single character level to grind — instead you grow each skill by doing the activity it belongs to.
The five skills
Section titled “The five skills”| Skill | Where | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Farming | Farm | Plant, water, and harvest crops on your garden plots |
| Woodcutting | Town | Chop trees for Wood |
| Fishing | Beach | Catch fish from the fishing spots |
| Mining | Quarry | Mine stone and gems |
| Crafting | Farm | Turn Wood and Stone into decorations |
How leveling works
Section titled “How leveling works”Every skill starts at Level 1 and earns its own XP. Doing an action — chopping a tree, harvesting a crop, catching a fish — grants XP into that skill only. Leveling up a skill unlocks better things to do: higher-level crops, gems, and new recipes.
The amount of XP you need climbs steadily as you go. To reach level L, you need a cumulative total of round(25 × (L−1) × L) XP. For example, level 2 needs 50 XP, level 5 needs 500, and level 10 needs 2,250.
See the full breakdown on the Leveling reference.
Total Level and your nametag
Section titled “Total Level and your nametag”Your Total Level is the sum of all five skill levels. It shows up in two places:
- Above your head as “Lv N · <name>”
- As a badge in your HUD
Because Total Level adds every skill together, the most direct way to raise it is to spread your time across all five skills rather than maxing just one.
