Fishing

Fishing is a relaxing way to earn gold at the Beach. As your Fishing level rises, the pool of fish you can catch grows — and the rare ones are worth a lot.

The Beach has 4 fishing spots. Walk up to a ready spot and click it to cast. Each catch gives you a fish and Fishing XP, takes about 1.3s, and roots you in place with a “Working…” badge.

After you fish a spot, it respawns after 8s, so with four spots you can rotate and keep catching steadily.

What you catch is random, but weighted. Each fish has a rarity weight — a higher weight means it shows up more often. Common fish like Sardine have a high weight; legendary fish like Golden Koi have a very low one, so they’re a rare treat.

Your Fishing level also gates which fish can appear. As you level up, new fish unlock and join your pool. The weight is relative to whatever fish are currently in your pool, so rarer catches become possible (but never common) as you climb.

For every fish’s unlock level, sell price, rarity weight, and XP, see the Fish reference.

You can sell fish anywhere you sell goods, but Finn the fish trader on the Beach buys fish at ×1.4 of their base price — the best deal in the game for your catch. Sell to Finn whenever you can. You’ll find more on him in the NPCs reference.
